KUWAIT CITY, July 11: Police have arrested an Asian pimp for kidnapping an Asian woman three months ago and forcing her to work in a vice den in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said a Kuwaiti man had earlier filed an absconding case against his housemaid and police started looking for the kidnapper based on the information provided by the driver of the sponsor. The driver had noted down the plate number of the kidnapper’s vehicle.
Securitymen managed to arrest the pimp who eventually admitted that he kidnapped the housemaid while she was standing in front of the sponsor’s house in Al-Qurain and locked her in a brothel in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.
Police liberated the housemaid and referred the kidnapper to authorities.


Two arrested: Police have arrested two persons — a Kuwaiti and a bedoun — and are believed to be looking for two others for stabbing a policeman on duty and attempting to force their entry into an apartment in Maidan Hawalli against the wishes of the tenant, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said this happened when police received a call from the tenant that four persons were trying to force their entry into his apartment.
When police reached the spot, they were informed by the foursome that they always come to this apartment to have fun but the occupant is refusing to open the door for them.
When police attempted to arrest the men, two of them escaped and the other two picked up a fight with the police and ended up stabbing one policeman.
During interrogations the men said there were about 15 women and 10 men having fun inside the apartment, including well-known personalities - a charge denied by the owner of the apartment.
It has also been reported police could not search the apartment because they did not carry a search warrant from the Public Prosecution. They said they were just answering a ‘distress’ call from the occupant of the apartment.
