Unknown person stabs Kuwaiti man to death Thief beats up American, steals his ‘laptop’ KUWAIT CITY, July 5: A 24-year-old Kuwaiti man succumbed to his injuries after an unknown person stabbed him in his house in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area on Tuesday.
The victim’s father found him bleeding in his room and rushed him to the Intensive Care Unit of Farwaniya Hospital, but the victim breathed his last soon after. His remains were referred to Forensics and a case was registered.
Securitymen questioned the father who said he found his son in a pool of blood in the latter’s room on the third floor of the house and added that he had no clue about the attacker.
Criminal Evidence Department officials rushed to the victim’s house to take fingerprints from the place. Investigations are going on.

Police are meanwhile looking for an unidentified person for beating a 24-year-old American and stealing his laptop computer, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In his complaint to the Fintas Police Station, the victim said he was shocked to find the burglar inside his apartment in Mahboula.
He also said when he attempted to wrestle the man and prevent him from leaving the apartment; the man hit him with a chair and escaped with the laptop computer.
Police arrest car thieves: Police arrested three people and are looking for three others for using stolen cars to commit thefts, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said a police patrol on routine duty in Hawalli saw the suspects removing numbers plates from cars which were parked on an open ground and managed to arrest three of them while the others escaped.
At the area police station, the thieves admitted to stealing cars and using them to commit thefts.
Police hunt cable thieves: Police are looking for unidentified thieves who allegedly stole seven copper cables from power transformer No 11 in Mahboula following which the entire area plunged into darkness, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Bootlegger abandons car: Police are looking for an unidentified person, believed to be a bootlegger, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
This came when police found a car which was allegedly ‘abandoned’ on the pavement of the King Fahd Expressway.
When police opened the car booth they found a carton filled with bottles of booze.
Police nab drunkard: Police have arrested a 42-year-old Kuwaiti for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the Nugra police ordered the man to pull over for reckless driving. However, the man continued driving and in an attempt to escape from police collided with four cars before he was forced to surrender.
The drunkard has been referred to the authorities.
Egyptian dies on duty: The remains of an unidentified Egyptian civil contractor who died of heart attack while on duty at the Kuwait International Airport have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
Police looking for thief: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing KD 360 from the safe of a company, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the incident happened in the Capital governorate and the company is owned by a member of the ruling family.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the thief.
Fishermen rescued: Following a distress call the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry, dispatched Kuwaiti Coast Guards and rescued four fishermen off Khairan when their fishing trawler began drifting into high seas following engine breakdown, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said it took the Coast Guard two hours to find the fishermen and tow their boat ashore because the fishermen could not give the exact location of their whereabouts.
