Airport security tightened on terror fears Warning sent on human bombs

KUWAIT CITY, July 3: The security precautions at the Kuwait International Airport have been tightened following reports of a likely terrorist attack, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a top level security source.
The same source revealed warnings have been sent to all international airports by unidentified sources, including Kuwait, on likely terrorist attacks and requests have been made that precautionary security measures be adopted.
The sources added passengers who arrive in the country after surgery will be thoroughly monitored for fear they may be carriers of explosives.
The sources explained implanting of explosives inside a body could be done 48 hours prior to travel, and therefore these people may have difficulty bending or standing or making some movements, or they may face difficulty breathing, and even complain of stomach pain.
In such cases these people must be subjected to medical examination before they are allowed to board a plane, say the sources.
The sources added even short rapid breathing; vomiting and fever, in addition to sweating are signs that require investigation to make sure no explosives are hidden in their bodies.
The security sources have warned of people who cannot lift heavy bags or those who use crutches to walk and need special assistance from the airline staff, such as wheelchairs.
