Transfer

I worked in Kuwait with the same sponsor for 4 years but when I tried to transfer my residence to another employer, I was refused permission by the shoon even though in my opinion the rule enabled me to do so.
Currently I’m in Kuwait on a visit visa sponsored by my wife who is on an Article 17 residence. We have a two-year-old son who is on her sponsorship. Is there any way I can transfer this family visit visa to a work visa without exiting Kuwait, if I get a sponsor, taking into consideration that I have a family here?

Name withheld

Answer: No, you can’t. Transfers from family visit visas to work permits are not allowed except for infants.

managerSrivi | 7/5/2011 9:25:59 AM No problem. But, purely depends upon manager to approve, on basis of project completion letter from company. If company release, no other problem, than manager of shoun. Just to sign. thats all. Degree should be attested. normally project visa, 3 or 5 years. but now rule is changed for degree holders. try ur luck. 95% possible. arrange project completion letter from company.
TransferMuhammed Faizal U V | 7/4/2011 7:23:50 PM I am working with the same owner for two and half years also I am a university graduate. My visa in govt. project, if i will get consent from my employer, can I transfer my residence to another company
highly impossibleSrivi | 7/2/2011 2:23:50 PM You cannot bend residency law as per your convenience, reason as a family. you can only do within the frame work of kuwait law. Even if you got another sponsor, you should go out and come in new visa, thats all. No local transfer, being sponsor changed. First try to get the job and make new visa.
