3 held for renewing residence of man believed to be in Syria

KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Police have arrested a Syrian man and two employees of the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post for attempting to renew the residence permit of a Syrian man who is believed to be in Syria, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police were tipped of by an unidentified source that the suspect has sent his passport to a compatriot and the two employees stamped the passport to show the man has legally entered the country.
The same sources said the Syrian also managed to get the residence permit of the man renewed before he could be arrested.
The suspects have been referred to the authorities for further investigations.

Groups fight: Police have taken into custody 15 Kuwaitis for unruly behavior near the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said this happened when a Kuwaiti man was driving along the chalets road. His wife was seated in the passenger and some youths seeing the wife of the man acted boisterous.
The man got annoyed and he telephoned his friends who were spending time in a nearby chalet. The friends rushed to the spot and were involved in a fight with the other group of youths.
All those arrested have been referred to the Mina Abdullah Police Station.

Asian arrested: Police have arrested the Bangladeshi man who had allegedly escaped from his sponsor after stealing electrical appliances, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The suspect was arrested by a police patrol in downtown Kuwait City.
