Bangladeshi to die for trafficking in drugs
KUWAIT CITY, June 28: The Criminal Court sentenced a Bangladeshi to death for trafficking in drugs.
Case files indicate the customs officers got suspicious when they noticed the unusual behavior of the Bangladeshi. However, they did not find anything when they searched him, so they offered him a cup of tea but he declined. The officers then conducted a test, leading to the discovery of 95 narcotic capsules weighing 300 grams in his stomach.
The session was presided over by Judge Hamoud Al-Mutawwa.
GCC national found dead: A GCC national, in his 40s, was found dead inside his vehicle in Bneid Al-Gar.
Securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the scene after the Operations Room received a call from a passerby, who noticed a man lying unconscious in the car. However, the man was already dead when the rescuers arrived at the location. His remains were referred to Forensics to establish the cause of death.
Investigations are ongoing as the authorities suspect foul play in the GCC national’s death.
