Girlfriend beaten up Dumb, deaf expat beaten up
KUWAIT CITY, June 27: A young Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Jabriya police accusing her former boyfriend of beating her and stealing her handbag containing money and cellphone, reports Al-Rai daily.
In her complaint the woman said although she cut all relations with the boyfriend, he insisted that she should meet him.
When she refused, he attacked her and escaped with her handbag.
Dumb, deaf expat beaten up: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti youth for severely beating a dumb and deaf Jordanian youth, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the incident happened near the Jabriya Cooperative Society. The Kuwaiti thought the Jordanian was staring at him and filled with rage walked up to the victim and asked the reason.
Being dumb and deaf the victim stood still and the Kuwaiti became more enraged. He then beat the victim mercilessly causing him injuries near the eye.
Youth abuses policemen: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti youth for verbally abusing and insulting policemen in Dasma, reports Al-Anba daily.
This happened at a police check point. The youth claimed he is a police lieutenant and that he did not carry his ID.
When police refused to buy his story, the youth got angry and was reportedly involved in a fist fight with the cops.
He has been handed over to the area police station.
Cash stolen from woman: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the home of an Iranian woman in Mangaf and stole KD 500, two million Iranian toman and two cellphones, reports Al-Anba daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
Army officer held drunk: An unidentified army officer and his companion have been taken into custody for drinking alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the ‘drunkards’ were arrested by traffic police for reckless driving.
However, while issuing a citation police discovered the man behind the wheel and the other in the passenger seat were under the influence of alcohol.
As the men were being taken to the Abdullah Al-Salem Police Station, the officer gave the cops a slip. However, he was later arrested from his home in Abdullah Al-Salem.
Three expats held for theft: Police have arrested two Pakistanis and an Egyptian for stealing pipes and iron rods from a project in Mutla’a, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspects were arrested when a police officer while on his way to work saw the ‘men at work’ and informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry.
When police rushed to the spot they saw the men were busy loading the pipes and rods in their vehicle.
Police have seized from the men the loot and the tools used in cutting the rods.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
