Egyptian sentenced to life imprisonment for killing Filipina
KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Criminal Court has sentenced an Egyptian man to life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of a Filipino woman whose remains were found on the roof of a building at the International Fair Grounds in Mishref, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to case papers the suspect lured the victim to the rooftop under the pretext he wanted to make love to her but had a plan to kill her.
The accused allegedly hit the victim with a hard object and bricks that led to her death.
Qaeda supporters sought: The State Security police are looking for unidentified persons who shouted slogans in support of the al-Qaeda organization during the last ‘Friday’ demonstration at the Al-Irada Square, reports Al-Dar daily.
According to reliable State Security police sources the authorities have received information that these people neither belong to any political bloc nor are they political activists.
The State Security police are believed to be busy reviewing video clips taken during the last protest.
KD 5,000 stolen from car: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke the side glass of the car of a Kuwaiti man in Ali Sabah Al-Salem and escaped with KD 5,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the thief.
