Appeals upholds ‘death’ against Syrian for murdering salesman
KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict of the First Instance Court, which had previously sentenced a Syrian to death for the premeditated murder of a salesman.
Case files indicate the Public Prosecution had charged the Syrian with premeditated murder of the salesman. It has been reported the Syrian invited the salesman to his flat under the pretext that he needs to pay him for the items he got from the shop where the victim was working. However, the Syrian took the victim to the rooftop to steal his mobile phone.
The accused is said to have stabbed the victim several times in the chest and the abdomen. Not content with the stabbing, the accused also cut the neck of the victim, separating it from the body to ensure he is dead.
The session was presided over by Judge Ali Al-Dera.
