KUWAIT CITY, June 22:  Police are looking for an Asian driver for attempting to kill his sponsor, reports Al-Anba daily
A police source said according to the complainant, the driver was involved in a heated argument with him and during the argument the driver hit him on the head with a baton and then attempted to stab him.
The Kuwaiti added he managed to fend off the attacker and the latter escaped before he called the police.

Suicide attempted: A 40-year-old Indian man has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Adan Hospital following a void attempt to end his life, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the victim jumped from the balcony of his apartment in Mahboula and sustained fractures in the left arm and several other injuries. A case of attempted suicide has been registered against the man.

Iraqi arrested: Security officers at the Abdali border post have arrested an Iraqi man for attempting to smuggle a large quantity of magic charms and beads into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Iraqi is believed to be a resident in Kuwait. During interrogation the Iraqi said he purchased the items upon request of some Kuwaitis.
He also denied knowledge such items were used for making black magic.

Call trader held: The Farwaniya police have arrested an Asian man for robbing telephone lines and offering illegal overseas call services from inside a garage in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Anba daily.
The arrest came when a police patrol on routine duty in the area saw several people entering and leaving the garage.
Police have also taken into custody four people who had been reported absconding by their sponsors.
