KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Police have arrested an Asian man for consuming alcohol and beating his wife, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The arrest came following a call from the victim to the Nugra police. The daily added as the couple was being taken to the police station, the husband attempted to bite the wife in the neck.
Hearing the screams, police stopped the vehicle, controlled the man and handcuffed him.

Students robbed: Police are looking for unidentified burglars who allegedly broke into cars of students which were parked in their school’s parking lot and stole seven iphones, four Blackberry phones and two wallets containing KD 100, reports Al-Dar daily.
The incident happened in a suburb of Sa’ad Al-Abdullah. At the time of the theft the students were reportedly taking their exams.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Club member held: A young member of the Al-Shabab Sport Club has been taken into custody for causing trouble during the club’s General Assembly Meeting, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added several other youths were involved in the fight and one person has been hospitalized with injuries. The daily did not give more details.

Safe, cash stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the house of a Kuwaiti man in Jahra and escaped with the safe containing jewelry worth KD 4,000 and an unidentified sum of money in cash, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
