Border police find wanted man hiding in brother’s car Maid missing with thousands of riyals
KUWAIT CITY, June 16: Security operatives at the Salmi Border Exit apprehended a 20-year-old citizen, in the company of his wanted brother who was caught hiding inside the trunk of their vehicle.
According to sources, securitymen doubted the citizen as he became jittery while his passport was being stamped at the border. This prompted the officers to conduct a search on the car, in the course of which they came across the brother who was hiding inside the trunk. The officers uncovered that the brother was wanted for various criminal offenses after checking his data on computer. The two men were referred to the relevant authority.
Maid missing: A Kuwaiti lodged a complaint at Taima Police Station against his housemaid who allegedly stole 17,000 Saudi Riyals from his safe deposit box.
According to the complainant, he was surprised when he found out that the housemaid left without asking permission from him and did not return since then. The housemaid’s sudden disappearance aroused his suspicion, so he checked the valuable items in his house and to his dismay he discovered that 17,000 Saudi Riyals have been stolen from him.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the housemaid.
Cash, passport taken: A Kuwaiti filed a report at Doha Police Station, accusing his housemaid of stealing KD 700 and her passport.
The Kuwaiti told police he and his family were surprised when they did not find the housemaid upon their return home. They immediately checked the contents of the house and they found out the housemaid took her passport and cash amounting to KD 700. He provided police with a detailed description of the suspect.
The officers are now looking for the housemaid to verify the complaint and take the necessary legal action if proven she is guilty.
Drunk youths fight: Two youths exchanged blows after a drinking spree inside a flat in Fintas.
Securitymen rushed to the location after receiving information on the fight. It has been reported the youths consumed a lot of alcohol and they had a heated argument, which escalated into a fistfight. They were taken to the Fintas Police Station for the necessary legal action.
