Bangladeshi doing illegal abortions

KUWAIT CITY, June 15: Police have arrested a Bangladeshi man for practicing medicine without license, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the Nugra police were tipped off by a police informant that the man was carrying out illegal abortion operations on women involved in immoral activities.
Acting on this information police put the suspect under surveillance for some time and then armed with a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution raided an apartment in Khaitan and arrested the ‘doctor’.
During interrogation the man allegedly admitted to performing 50 abortions. Police have also seized from the man medical tools used in the operation.
The man has also been charged with murder because it has been reported one Asian woman died during an operation. The man has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Mall thieves caught: Police have arrested two people who were wanted by law for breaking into and robbing eight shops from a commercial complex in Jahra 10 days ago, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said police investigations led to one of the suspects. Securitymen put him under surveillance for some time, set a trap for him and caught him at an unidentified location.
The suspect is believed to be a boxing champion and of late was seen spending a lot of money. The suspect reportedly resisted arrest and even stabbed one of the police officer in the hand before he was controlled and taken to a police station.
Police then armed with a search and arrest warrant raided the man’s home and seized cell phones worth KD 4,000. During interrogation he admitted to the charge and led police to his accomplice.
From the second suspect’s home police are said to have seized a mobile telephone and a laptop computer.
