Working under Dependent visa ( Article 22) illegal

I would like to change my wife’s Article 18 work visa to an Article 22 dependent visa. My question is, will she still be able to work? She really loves her job which is why we have not switched it yet. But we also want to travel and some countries refuse us entry because I am not her sponsor.

Name withheld

Answer
: Legally speaking, anyone on a dependent visa can’t work in any company although a lot of companies do hire dependents.
But with the Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor becoming more strict and all companies required to submit a list of their employees, your wife could face problems if she was caught working in any firm. So it is better not to work if you are on a dependent visa.

illegalSrivi | 6/11/2011 9:55:05 AM You can transfer to visa.22, if she is not interested to work any more. but, getting visa is not a reason for visa.22. you should abide by labour law and regulations, only visa.18 should work. In case of shoun checking found, she will be arrested and deported. To get visa, provide marriage certificate as proof, arrange separate visa for each as tourists. sponsor is not a criteria for getting visa. you will face so many other problems if she works in visa.22
