Asian selling porn to compatriots Gamblers caught in action
KUWAIT CITY, June 9: Police arrested an Asian expatriate in possession of several CDs containing pornographic material. The man was spotted while walking with a bag in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. He tried in vain to run on seeing police, but he was chased and arrested. During interrogation, he said he sells such CDs to his countrymen.
Gamblers held: The Farwaniya police have arrested seven Asians for gambling inside an apartment in Farwaniya, reports Annahar daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information raided the apartment and caught the men red-handed, and seized from them money and playing cards.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Two hurt in fight:Two Kuwaitis were injured in a fight that took place between two separate groups on the Arabian Gulf Street on Thursday. Sources say members of both groups used sticks and sharp objects to settle their disagreement. Acting on information, police rushed to the scene and arrested the others involved, while paramedics referred the injured men to Amiri Hospital for treatment.
A case was registered and investigations are going on.
Man high on drugs: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man, believed to be in his 30s, for consuming drugs and recovered six narcotic pills from his possession. The man was found in a disoriented state in his vehicle parked in front of a school in Rumaithiya area at a late hour. He had initially told police that his vehicle broke down.
Drunkard in mall: Police arrested an inebriated Kuwaiti for harassing people in front of a famous commercial complex in Salmiya area. The drunk was referred to authorities for further action.
Stolen car in mishap: Police have arrested one youth and are looking for his friend for stealing a car.
Police, while attending to a road accident case in Sulaibikhat area, discovered that one of the vehicles involved was reported stolen two months ago. Two youths were in the vehicle, but one escaped before the arrival of police while the other could not move due to a fracture in his leg. Paramedics referred the injured youth to Razi Hospital for treatment, while police got the vehicle towed to Salmiya Police Station.
Police are interrogating the injured youth to find the whereabouts of his partner in crime.
