The girls basketball teams of UIS put up a spectacular performance to win the CBSE Kuwait Cluster Basketball tournament for the 5th consecutive year. They defeated Carmel School with a score 23-13, while it was a sweeping victory of 37-09 over the Indian Community School in the semifinals. Vice Captain Aishwarya was the top scorer at the finals & semifinals. Captain Sofiyamma efficiently steered the team and was close behind in her score.
The contribution of Roshni, Rinu & Rinnah turned out to be crucial for the team. the other members of the team are Preethi, Anjaly, Reena, Venesa, Rinnah, Priya & Liya.
The UIS team are representing the Kuwait Cluster at The CBSE Nationals in India. their goal for the next title is all set, as they faced the challenge of 33 teams & made it up to the quarter finals last year.
