KD 100,000 worth jewelry stolen from ‘royal’
KUWAIT CITY, June 5: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the home of an unidentified member of a ruling family in Jabriya and escaped with gold jewelry worth KD 100,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the theft took place when the Sheikh was out of the country with his family. The thief reportedly entered the house by breaking the door.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
Police have detained the servants for interrogation.
‘I love him’: Police have arrested an unidentified youth from a GCC state for climbing the fence of his neighbor’s house, reports Al-Rai daily.
During interrogation the youth is said to have admitted to the charge. However, he has denied the allegation that he was planning to ransack the house.
He added he had gone to meet his girlfriend whom he plans to marry. When the girl was summoned for interrogation, she admitted that she was in love with the youth.
She also said her family has rejected the youth’s proposal. She said the theft charges filed against the youth are false and malicious.
Pakistani swindled: A Pakistani man has filed a complaint with the Mina Abdullah Police Station through his lawyer accusing a Kuwaiti and an Indian of swindling him, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The lawyer said the two men convinced his client to purchase 40 containers of used oil to be shipped from Kuwait to the Bandar Abbas port in Iran for KD 140,000 and have reportedly escaped with the money.
Iraqi cheats Kuwaiti: Police are looking for an Iraqi man for swindling a Kuwaiti to the tune of KD 100,000, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The suspect reportedly lured the victim to join him in a business venture and after getting the money disappeared.
A case has been registered at the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station.
