Maid witness to gruesome murder of woman Brother strangled, burnt body to hide crime
KUWAIT CITY, June 1: The GCC woman whose charred remains were found on the rooftop of a house in Jahra is said to have been murdered by her own brother working as military personnel in the Ministry of Interior. Apparently, a maid working in the house was witness to the gruesome murder of the woman by her brother when he later set the body ablaze to hide the crime.
Security sources stressed that the Forensic report confirms the brother had murdered the woman after ashes they taken from the scene have been examined, besides account given by the housemaid who had witnessed the murder. The suspect had allegedly strangled the sister to death and burnt the body afterward. Police are still investigating the case.
Two in fierce fight: A Kuwaiti citizen and an Egyptian national were referred to the Sabah Hospital by paramedics, amid severe injuries, after they engaged in a fierce public brawl in Al-Rai area.
Passersby had reportedly placed a distress call to the Operations Room for securitymen and paramedics to be at the scene. Cases were registered against the fighters after they have been sent for medical care.
Homo found drunk: A drunken homosexual was apprehended in Salmiya by security operatives and referred to the concerned authority. A civil case has since been registered against him.
Boy reported missing: A Bedoun man filed a case in Sulaibiya police station and reported that his 19-year old son left home about 4 days ago after a minor disagreement and declined to come back.
The man has reportedly searched for his son among friends and relatives in vain, while the mobile has been switched off. A case has since been registered and details of the boy have been circulated to checkpoints to find him.
Drunk motorist held: Security operatives on patrol in Ardiya area arrested a motorist for consuming alcohol after they detected erratic manner his vehicle was moving, and stopped him for questioning and subsequently smelt liquor. He was referred to the concerned authority without delay.
10 youths nabbed: The Ahmadi police during a crackdown on violators of traffic laws in Sabahiya are said to have arrested 10 youths for driving without license, 21 for reckless driving and six for not renewing the car registration documents, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
During the campaign police are also said to have arrested two men who had been sentenced in absentia. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities.
