Visa trade flourishes with 10 bogus firms, 170 expats 7 Egyptian, Asian labourers dead, 12 hurt in bus mishap

KUWAIT CITY, May 31: Seven Egyptian and Asian laborers died and 12 others, including Egyptians and Asian nationals suffered various degrees of injuries when their mini-bus overturned along Al-Salmi Road Tuesday afternoon.
Based on report the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received about the accident, a team of securitymen and paramedics with 13 ambulances rushed to the scene and referred the injured people, as well as the bodies to Jahra Hospital. No further details were given in that regard.

Liquor seized: Jahra securitymen arrested two Asians in Saad Al-Abdullah for trading in local alcohol with 100 bottles in their possession.
While patrolling the area, the security officers got suspicious when they noticed the Asians looked agitated upon reaching the checkpoint.  The officers searched the vehicle and they found 100 bottles of local alcohol. During interrogation, the Asians admitted to selling and manufacturing local alcohol.  The suspects later guided police to their flat, leading to the discovery of four drums and equipment for manufacturing alcohol.

Visa trader held: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man for owning 10 fake companies and trading in visas, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said personnel from the General Immigration Department set a trap for the man and took him into custody.
Police investigations revealed the man was sponsoring 170 expatriates and each of them was paying the man an unidentified sum of money to allow them to work for other sponsors. The daily added all persons who are sponsored by this man will be deported from the country.
