US woman claims ‘molested’ by Indian technician in camp
KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Police have arrested a 29-year-old Indian technician for molesting an American woman in Araifijan camp, reports Al-Anba daily.
The woman, 59, filed a complaint at Mina Abdullah Police Station, saying the Indian touched her private part and that she rebuked him. The complainant said the incident took place more than two weeks ago but since she was busy, she couldn’t file a complaint immediately after the incident.
The Indian, during interrogation, said he happened to touch the woman’s hand unintentionally but did not argue with her for fear that he will be fired from his job.
Asian trio in liquor peddling: Ahmadi securitymen, under the supervision of Ahmadi Security Chief Major General Abdulfatah Al-Ali, arrested three Asians for trading in locally brewed alcohol in Fahaheel with 75 bottles in their possession.
While patrolling the area, the officers noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver to pull over. When the officers approached the vehicle, they found out the driver had two companions — all Asians, and they looked confused. This prompted the officers to check the vehicle thoroughly, resulting in the discovery of 75 bottles of local alcohol ready for sale.
During interrogation, the three Asians confessed to selling local alcohol for KD 5 to KD 10 per bottle. They were referred to the concerned security department for prosecution.
Suicide attempted: A young Kuwaiti woman, 22, was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of Adan Hospital following a void attempt to end her life by swallowing a large quantity of medicine inside her home in Jaber Al-Ali, reports Al-Anba daily.
A case of attempted suicide has been registered against her and police will question her after she fully recovers.
