Home-practising dentist referred for investigation Attempt to kidnap European woman in Fintas

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: An Arab dentist whose identity has not been disclosed has been referred for investigation for practicing medicine in his home in violation of a law and for allegedly ‘stealing’ government property, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting reliable medical sources the arrest came when personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department acting on information put the apartment of the doctor under surveillance for some time and sent a police agent for treatment, raided the apartment and caught the doctor red-handed.
It has been reported the dentist works for the Ministry of Health and according to law he cannot practice medicine either in his home or a private clinic during off duty hours.
The daily added when personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department raided the doctor’s home, they found latest state of the art equipment allegedly belonging to the ministry.
During interrogation the doctor admitted to practicing medicine at home and said he charged between KD 100 and KD 200 from limited income people for dental services.

Lawsuit filed: Children of Sheikh Bin Baz, the late Saudi Islamic scholar and mufti, have filed a lawsuit in Kuwait courts against Kuwaiti businessman Mahmoud Haidar and lawyer Khalid Al-Shatti (both Shiites).
In the lawsuit the plaintiffs are accusing the men of offending their late father on the Zoom website and the Al-Adala TV channel, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
Lawyer Mufrij Ghareeb Al-Mutairi Wednesday has filed the case with the Public Prosecution in Kuwait.
Earlier, Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Bin Baz had given the power of attorney to Al-Mutairi to file the case against the two men.

Attempt to kidnap woman: The Ahmadi police have arrested three Kuwaitis in connection with the attempted kidnap of a European woman in Fintas, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the arrest came following a complaint filed by the woman with the Fintas Police Station.
In her complaint the woman said she was on her way home and the trio followed her and attempted to bundle her in their vehicle.
When she screamed for help the men escaped. However, the woman noted down the car plate number and informed police.
After the men were arrested the woman picked one of the men from the legal lineup and during interrogation the three men are said to have admitted to the charge. They have been referred to the concerned authority.
