Ethiopian maid forced to have sex with sponsor ‘Flesh’, call traders nabbed
KUWAIT CITY, May 25: A team of officers from the Ahmadi Security Directorate launched an extensive security campaign recently, resulting in the arrest of several Asian men and women involved in various crimes.
During the campaign, the team raided eight prostitution dens in Abu Halifa, leading to the arrest of seven women and nine men – all Asians – involved in the ‘flesh’ trade.
The team later apprehended eight Asians for operating illegal international call centers in Mangaf and confiscated a large number of telecommunications gadgets, in addition to the closure of eight grocery shops and arrest of eight Asian vendors found to have violated the food safety regulations.
Moving to Sabahiya, the team confiscated 12 vehicles used by a group of youths, who were performing stunts on the road and endangered not only their lives, but also that of other people. This came after the team received several complaints from the residents in the area about the reckless acts of the youths.
In another, unrelated development, Customs officers at Doha Port discovered weapons that had been smuggled by two Iranians transporting goods inside a boat to Iran.
Sources said the officers intercepted the boat after the two men aroused their suspicion, and they uncovered weapons after conducting a search inside the boat.
The suspects, with the items have since been referred to the relevant authority.
Forced sex with sponsor: An Ethiopian housemaid who claims that her Kuwaiti sponsor forced her to have sex with him over a two-month period has been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Anba daily.
This came when the maid through the lawyer of her embassy filed a complaint with the police and the Public Prosecutor referred the case to Forensics.
The sponsor is expected to be summoned for interrogation.
Love in grocery: Police have arrested an Asian grocer for having sex with a maid. The incident happened in Taima, reports Al-Rai daily.
The quoting security sources said the incident was discovered by a Kuwaiti man when he went to the grocery shop.
Although the shop was closed, he heard people giggling and informed the cops. Police rushed to the spot and caught the lovers red-handed and referred them to the authorities.
Kidnap bid foiled: Police are looking for three youths for allegedly attempting to kidnap a Hungarian woman, reports Al-Anba daily.
In her complaint to the police the woman said she was on her way home and the trio kept following her and passing remarks. She did not pay attention to them and continued on her way home.
However, when they tried to bundle her in their vehicle, she screamed for help and the youths escaped from the scene.
The woman has provided police the details of the car and the number plate.
12 Asians held: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant police raided five apartments in Mahboula and arrested 12 Asians (five pimps and seven prostitutes and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said five of the seven women are housemaids and they were allegedly kidnapped by the pimps and forced into prostitution.
Abortion death: Police have taken into custody a Sri Lankan woman for ‘killing’ an Asian woman, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the Indian was pregnant and she died while the Sri Lankan was attempting to abort her fetus.
