Visit Visa for a Son, but salary is below the requirement.

I want to apply for a visit visa for my son. My work permit says my salary is KD195/- but my current salary is KD215. Will it be acceptable to attach a bank statement to my idenamal (Work Permit) to prove that my salary is more than what is written on my idenamal? Can I apply for  a visit visa.

Name withheld

Answer:
The salary which is accepted is the one written on the work permit. Nothing else. You can, however, apply for the visit visa for there is no limit which has been set for these kinds of visas. The Immigration Dept says it should be ‘enough’ to support the visitor although they normally accept applications from expats earning at least KD250. But there is no harm in trying as the issuance of such visas is totally at the discretion of the Immigration Dept.

possibleSrivi | 5/21/2011 10:03:44 AM For visit visa, 200 kd enough, for dependant visa, 250 kd is a must. 195 kd and 200 kd, eligibility is more or less, not much difference. It is possible. Just request manager to approve, you will get visa in hand. only idnamel paper is accepted as salary. but, Bank papers and company letter,. you can convince manager to approve, as additional proof.
