KUWAIT CITY, May 19: A patrol team on duty in Ahmadi area arrested a female doctor who was caught doing drugs inside her vechile, while in uniform.
The doctor, who is also a famous artiste’s sister, was referred to the Drugs Control General Department, with narcotic-related tools the officers confiscated from her car.
In the course of interrogation, the doctor claimed the needles belonged to a patient she was treating. The patient turned out to be Bedoun who was later arrested and charged with the suspect. Securitymen uncovered the Bedoun has a file in Psychiatric Hospital.
In another version of the story, police have arrested an unidentified female Kuwaiti doctor for allegedly consuming heroin.
According to reports the woman, who was still in the doctor’s uniform, was taken into custody from in front of the Adan Hospital.
At the time of her arrest she was in a car with a man in the passenger seat who allegedly escaped on foot when police approached the car.
Police chased the man and arrested him and referred both the doctor and the man to the security authorities for interrogation.
Police have reportedly seized heroin and drug consuming tools from the car.

Bedoun duo held: Securitymen arrested two Bedouns wanted by law for their involvement in drug and criminal cases.
While patrolling on the Sixth Ring Road, the securitymen flagged a vehicle for inspection but the driver sped off. The officers called for backup and they chased the vehicle. After the hot chase, the officers discovered the driver and his companion — both Bedouns — had previously evaded arrest for committing drug-related and criminal crimes. One of them has been sentenced to five years in jail and two years for the other.
A case was registered and the Bedouns were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.

1 hurt in Kuwaitis fight: A 39-year-old Kuwaiti sustained serious injuries after engaging in a public brawl with a compatriot at the vegetable market in Kabad.
A team of security officers and medical emergency workers were dispatched to the location after the Operations Room received a call from one of the market-goers, who witnessed the fight.  The rescue team found the injured Kuwaiti writhing in pain as he got severe injuries when a heated argument with a compatriot escalated into a fistfight.  He is now confined in Farwaniya Hospital.
The other Kuwaiti is now detained at a police station.  Investigations are ongoing to establish the actual circumstances leading to the fight.

Caught by chance: Police the friend of 19-year-old Kuwaiti, who was reported missing by his family one week ago, for dodging a sentence imposed on him earlier for his involvement in an undisclosed crime.
While on duty in Salmiya, the police officers signaled for the driver of a vehicle to stop for routine inspection.  When they checked the identification documents of the driver and his companion, they discovered the former was reported missing by his family a week ago, while the latter is wanted by law and was sentenced in absentia.
The officers referred the Kuwaiti teenager’s friend to the relevant security department for prosecution.
