All types of visas stopped for Pakistanis, Iranians, Syrians and Iraqis

I am a Pakistani. Recently, I went to the Farwaniya Immigration Department to get a visit visa for my wife but the clerk at the counter refused to even accept my application, saying that all types of visas had been put on hold for Pakistanis. Is this news true?

Answer: Unfortunately it is. Recently, the Arab Times published a news item from an Interior Ministry official who said that issues of all types of visas had been stopped for Pakistanis, Iranians, Syrians and Iraqis.
Yours is not the first complaint that has reached us on this issue. No reason has been given for the ban and officials also don’t know when it will be lifted.

3 monthsAdnan | 6/5/2011 11:00:53 AM well, this issue pops up every year just 3 months before ramadan, visas are banned for some nationalities, as far as i know they will remove this ban right after RAMADAN.

Visit Visa for my husbandMaryam | 5/25/2011 4:35:54 PM its really true that government should have its own securities but is it right only becuse my husband is holding afghan passport can not come as a visit visa..he has never been in afghanistan...is it fair cuz of his mother nationality he wont get his right..i have lots of issue here and i need my husband to come here for at least 2 month here but what a luck...this is really painfull for me...i wish he was moving to canada earlier and he had his candaian passports so now i wouldnt suffer

Visit Visa for My husband(afghan National)Maryam | 5/18/2011 9:05:34 PM last 6 month my mom tried to bring his nephew as he was going to get married with me and my family wanted marriage here in kuwait but visa refused without any clear reason then we got married in iran..now he is my husband first family class but still i can not bring my husband...isnt it funny? why he can not come as visit visa he is living in canada and waiting for visa...i dont know what to say..

In recent list, syria, iran,iraq and some more countries are black listed. Next day some other official declared, it is not true. confused by govt officials itself. But, pakistan was blacklisted long back, for new visas. Currently, no scope, when the ban will be lifted. It is depends upon govt policy to review the situation
