Porn CDs seized from Bangladeshi trio

KUWAIT CITY, May 16:  Police have arrested three Bangladeshis for trading in porno CDs, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to reports the suspects were caught at a late evening hour during routine security check on the Fifth Ring Road.
Police are said to have seized from the car 1,000 CDs.
In other similar news, the Hawalli police are said to have arrested an unidentified Asian man who was carrying 250 CDs inside a bag, reports Al-Anba daily.
The sources said the Asian is a residence law violator.

Asian trio held in drug-trafficking : Anti-narcotics officers recently arrested three Asian men for trafficking in drugs with more than 500 grams of heroin in their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, Director General of the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa instructed a team of officers to put one of the suspects under surveillance. After closely observing the suspect’s activities for quite some time, the team obtained a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution. The officers sent an undercover agent to purchase five grams of heroin worth KD100 from the suspect, who agreed to meet the agent in Bneid Al-Gar. He was arrested immediately after completion of the bogus transaction.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted the crime and guided police to his two Asian accomplices, who were arrested with 500 grams of heroin in their possession. The trio told the officers that they were trading in drugs on behalf of an inmate in the Central Jail.
A case was registered and suspects were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action. The officers have also started investigations to identify the Central Jail inmate.

Asians robbed: The Jahra police have arrested an unemployed armed Kuwaiti man for robbing Asian expatriates, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said after several people complained that a man driving a Japanese car carrying a kitchen knife robbed Asians under threat police set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed.
The daily added the thief tried in vain to escape from police leaving behind his vehicle. During interrogation the man is said to have admitted to committing 17 thefts.

Stealing iron rods: Police have arrested an Asian man for stealing iron from a company site in Mina Abdullah, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. A police patrol on routine suspected an Asian man who was carrying in his car a gas cutter. They followed him unnoticed till he entered the site and caught him red-handed while cutting the iron rods.

Drilling items stolen: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing heavy drilling equipment worth KD 200,000 from oil wells in Al-Qashaniya, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reliable sources five men were seen loading the equipment in special trucks on Friday while the workers at the site had a day off.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Phone thief held:
The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police have arrested an unemployed Syrian man who allegedly broke into a shop for stealing cell phones, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added the suspect was taken into custody by a police patrol after he was spotted sitting next to a shop near a commercial complex because he could not justify his presence in the area.
During interrogation he is said to have admitted to breaking into five cell phone shops in Fahaheel.
The thief has been referred to the authorities.
