KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Police arrested 11 youngsters for harassing female students of the Basic Education College in Shamiya, and referred them to the police station, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily mentioned that some of the youngsters were earlier arrested for the same offense.
Heroin seized: A Bangladeshi expatriate was referred to the Public Prosecution for peddling in drugs after securitymen found 80 grams of heroin in his possession. The officers acted on a tip off the Director General of Drug Control General Department Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa received about activities of a Bangladeshi national who worked for an inmate at the Central Prison. With adequate information at hand, an undercover agent lured the suspect to sell 8 capsules of heroin for KD 2000, and he paid with marked currency. The suspect was arrested after the transaction in Bneid Al-Gar and was referred with the contraband to the Public Prosecution.
Student cross-dressers: Ahmadi Educational Zone dismissed two students from a high school in Jaber Al-Ali area for cross-dressing, reports Al-Anba daily. The administration of the school seized makeup and women’s garments from the bags of the two students.
Bedoun swindled: Police are looking for a Syrian man for swindling a Bedoun and stealing KD 3,000 from him, reports Al-Anba daily.
The fraudster convinced the victim to join him in his business of purchasing old cars from Kuwait and selling them in Iraq, and disappeared after taking the money.
