KUWAIT CITY, May 14: An Asian maid hanged herself to death inside the sponsor’s house in Mangaf.
The woman is said to have tied a rope to the ceiling of her room and hung herself. The corpse was referred to Forensics by Criminal Evidences men who arrived at the scene after the Operations Room had been notified of the episode. A case was registered.

Rape bid foiled: A domestic worker of Asian nationality allegedly tried to rape a maid inside her sponsor’s house in Adailiya.
The maid reportedly prevented the man from executing the plan. However, the sponsor referred the suspect and the maid to the concerned authority to confirm if they are having an affair, and rationale behind the suspect entering the house.

Gang arrested: A three-member gang that specialized in stealing cars in Jahra governorate was arrested by Jahra security operatives headed by Brigadier Mohammed Tana. Apparently, the thieves stole cars to perform stunts, which they subsequently burnt in South Jahra.
Sources said patrolmen were on the alert, in the wake of many car thefts residents in the area registered at police stations, and they managed to arrest the suspects in possession of a stole car they were about to burn in South Jahra. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities, and they confessed to being involved in many car thefts. A case was registered for investigation.

Inmates in fight: An inmate at the Central Prison sustained injuries in different parts of his body after engaging in a fistfight with two other prisoners in cell number three recently.
Security sources revealed the injured inmate is serving time for his involvement in a State Security case, while the two others were involved in murder and robbery cases.  Sources said the injured had previously asked Central Prison Director Colonel Shreidah Al-Shammari to transfer him to another cell but his request went unheeded. 
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the actual circumstances that led to the fight.

Cafe owner stabbed: A café owner in Salmiya suffered a deep stab wound in his chest and bruises in other parts of his body when four unidentified youths attacked him.
Eyewitnesses revealed the injured had an argument with the youths inside the café but it later escalated into a fistfight.  One of the youths allegedly took a knife and stabbed the café owner, while the others took turns in beating him.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information from one of the café customers, who witnessed the fight.   The medical emergency team took the injured to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, while the youths were referred to a nearby police station for questioning and other necessary legal action.
A case was registered and investigations are underway to establish motive behind the attack.
