Disabled student dies in school

KUWAIT CITY, May 12:  A disabled 10-year-old student died in his school for unknown reasons.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information from the school administration that the student suddenly fell unconscious.  They rushed him to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital but he died before reaching the hospital.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the actual cause of death.

Friend swindled: A Kuwaiti man filed a complaint at Fahaheel Police Station, accusing his friend of swindling him to the tune of KD 37,000.
The complainant said his friend talked him into setting up a business venture where they would import vehicles from abroad and sell them here. He showed all documents to prove that he gave KD 37,000 to the suspect.
Investigations are going on and police are looking for the suspect. 

Local liquor seized: Police arrested an Asian in possession of several bottles filled with local brew in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and referred him to authorities.
Police had noticed the man’s suspicious behavior and stopped him for inspection.

Youth stabbed: A youth was stabbed in the abdomen and chest during a fight he had with another youth in Fahaheel area. Sources say an argument broke out between the youths and it soon turned violent when one of the youths pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice. The victim was referred to Adan Hospital for treatment. A case was registered and investigations are going on.

Crackdown continues:  A team of securitymen from the Farwaniya Governorate on Thursday launched an intensive campaign in Firdous and Sabah Al-Nasser to track down reckless drivers, especially those who perform car stunts on the road.
During the campaign, the team confiscated 16 vehicles and issued 68 traffic citations for various violations, including failure to present car insurance.  It has been reported the team installed checkpoints at strategic locations in both areas.
Security sources disclosed the campaign will continue in other parts of the governorate to ensure the safety of road users.
