Pakistani drug trader busted Pure heroin seized

KUWAIT CITY, May 11:  Anti-narcotics officers on Wednesday arrested a Pakistani, identified only as Salman, for trafficking in drugs.
Acting on information about a Pakistani who has been trading in drugs over the last six months in the country, Director General of the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa formed a team of securitymen tasked to put the suspect under surveillance, in coordination with the Public Prosecution.  After observing him for three weeks, the team discovered the suspect usually receives payment for the drugs through bank drafts.
The team later arranged an entrapment and sent an undercover agent to purchase 10 heroin capsules worth KD2,000 from Salman, who agreed to meet the agent in Mahboula to deliver the drugs.  He was arrested after completion of the bogus transaction.  However, he tried to resist arrest and bit the hand of one of the arresting officers, who suffered serious hand injuries.  The officers overpowered him and referred him to the concerned security department for questioning.
During interrogation, Salman admitted the crime and guided the officers to his apartment in Mahboula where they found a kilo of heroin and a weighing scale.  He also showed the officers a certain area in the building in which he hid two kilograms of heroin.  The officers also discovered that he has 30 telephone lines he used for selling drugs.
Salman told the officers a drug mafia in Pakistan gave him instructions on how to smuggle drugs without calling the attention of securitymen.
Sheikh Ahmad confirmed the team seized a huge quantity of heroin from the suspect, because it is pure and can be mixed with other drugs.
