Security stepped up on KAC planes after bin Laden kill

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: The Administration for Protecting Aircraft affiliated to the Ministry of the Interior has decided to hire personnel from the Anti-Terrorism Department of the Special Force (Strike Force) to protect the KAC aircraft on all its flights, reports Al-Jaridah daily.
A knowledgeable source said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure following the killing of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
The source added the Interior Ministry decided to increase the number of security personnel on each aircraft. This is in addition to the 10-member security team which accompanies each flight.

Pakistani arrested: Police have arrested a Pakistani man for attempting to bribe an official at the Salmi border post in an attempt to leave the country, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the Pakistani has a travel ban and allegedly wanted to escape from the country.
It has been reported the police are now looking for an unidentified Iraqi man who was with the Pakistani. The Iraqi escaped when he saw the police arresting the Pakistani.

Gunman arrested: Police have arrested an unidentified youth for shooting at vehicles and passers by in Sulaibikhat, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the arrest came after several people complained about the suspect when a seven-year-old boy was hit in the thigh while walking with his father.
The boy was rushed to the Sabah Hospital and had to undergo a surgery.
Acting on information police identified the place from where the shots were fired. When police went to the house, the owner said his son was hunting birds.
