Officer uses Snake to torture suspects ‘Royal’ imposter robs expatriates
KUWAIT CITY, May 9: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man for impersonating a member of the ruling family and robbing an unidentified number of expatriates, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The Salhiya police picked up the suspect from his office in Sharq after receiving complaints from the victims. Police have seized from the man forged IDs including the ID of a Sheikh, a revolver and several rounds of ammunition. The fraudster has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Maid robs sponsor: Police have arrested an Asian housemaid for stealing jewelry worth KD 5,000 from her sponsor, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said the sponsor doubted the maid because she behaved abnormal and moreover she was recently hired.
During interrogation she admitted to the charge and said she stole the jewelry with the help of her boyfriend. The maid has provided police with information about the lover.
Snake torture: The Interior Ministry has disclosed that a senior security officer has been referred to the Legal Affairs Department of the ministry for interrogation, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting knowledgeable sources.
The sources said the officer worked in Hawalli and used snakes to terrify suspects when they were handcuffed.
