Kuwaiti stabbed by ‘haris’ for not paying rent
KUWAIT CITY, May 7: Police have arrested an Egyptian guard of a building for stabbing a Kuwaiti tenant who allegedly didn’t pay house rent for six months, reports Al-Anba daily.
The tenant reportedly decided to move elsewhere and when he was shifting the furniture, the caretaker called the landlord to notify about the development. The landlord ordered the caretaker to prevent the tenant from moving, and the caretaker obeyed the instructions to the hilt by stabbing the tenant.
The tenant was rushed to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and the guard was referred to Salmiya Police Station.
Meanwhile, securitymen are looking for two youths for impersonating police and robbing a Pakistani, reports Al-Anba daily. The Pakistani filed a police complaint, saying two dishdasha-clad men stopped him and claiming to be police, asked him to get into their car. The men, he said, drove him to an open area, snatched KD 150 from him at knifepoint and dropped him before driving off.
