Hot weather, north-easterly light to moderate wind expected Chance for scattered rain: expert

KUWAIT CITY, May 7, (KUNA): The country underwent a low visibility on the western border areas due to the active wind there late Friday, Mohammad Karam, Director of the Weather Forecast Department of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation said Sunday.
Karam added, in a statement to KUNA, that such slight low visibility spread to other areas of the country due to a slight hanging dust, though visibility had improved later on over all areas of the country, noting that today’s weather will be hot with north-easterly light to moderate wind that will be occasionally active at a velocity from 15 to 40 km per hour along with kicking up dust over the open areas.
Karam also said that clouds will gradually gather, while wind will be easterly to north-easterly at a light to moderate velocity with a chance for scattered rainfall later on, expecting Sunday weather to be hot, north-easterly wind that will turn to south-easterly one at a moderate velocity.
Finally, he said that night will see a gradual cloud-gathering with south-easterly wind that will turn into north-westerly at a light to moderate velocity with a chance for arousing dust later on over the open areas, while maximum temperature will hit 39 Celsius, and minimum temperature will be 27 Celsius.
