Phone call drives Asian expat to kill himself
KUWAIT CITY, May 4: An Asian expatriate in his early 40s died by hanging himself at the workplace in Hasawi area. According to a friend of the deceased, he received a call from his home country which left him crying and then he went to work.
Sources said Criminal Evidences Men accompanied securitymen and paramedics to the scene and referred the corpse to Forensics following report the Operations Room received of the suicide. A case was registered.
Woman threatened: A 49-year old Kuwaiti woman filed a case in Ardiya police station and reported the ex-husband of her daughter who threatened to kill her.
According to the woman, the former son-in law calls her mobile frequently to abuse her. Recently, she claimed the man called and threatened to kill her. A case was registered for investigation.
Cash stolen: A Kuwaiti filed a complaint at Abu Halifa Police Station against an unidentified person who allegedly stole his ATM card and withdrew KD 4,000 from his account.
According to the complainant, he lost the card three days ago and when he found it, he discovered someone used it to steal KD 4,000 from his account. Police are conducting investigations to arrest the thief.
