Doctor shoplifts spoons from commercial complex
KUWAIT CITY, May 3: When the security guards recently caught an unidentified person believed to be a doctor by profession for shoplifting spoons worth KD 4 from a well-known commercial complex, he denied the allegations, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the doctor had hidden the spoons in his pocket and he was taken in for interrogation he denied stealing. He added he mistakenly put the spoons in his pant pocket but when the guards threatened to call the cops, he admitted to the charge.
The doctor was let go after he paid for the spoons.
Cop bribed: Police have arrested an Asian man for attempting to bribe a traffic policeman, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said two Asians were riding in a car on the Fahd Al-Salem in Salhiya and when a traffic policeman stopped them and issued a citation because the man behind the wheel did not have a license, the man in the passenger seat allegedly offered a KD 40 bribe.
The motorist has been detained at a police station and the man who offered the bribe has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Trigger-happy girl: Acting on information that someone was shooting randomly in the air in Umm Al-Haiman police rushed to the spot and found a nine-year-old girl shooting randomly with an air gun in front of her home, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The girl and her father have been referred to the area police station.
Woman cheated: Police are looking for an unidentified person for cheating a Kuwaiti woman by convincing her to purchase a luxurious car for only KD 35,000, reports Al-Rai daily. After receiving the money the seller is said to have disappeared.
