Illegal Asian expatriate caught with liquor in Jleeb Worker accused of embezzlement
KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate in possession of four bottles of imported liquor and two bottles of local brew. The man was stopped while driving at a late hour in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Securitymen also learnt that his residence had expired, and referred him to authorities for further action.
Man held with guns: Police patrols arrested a Kuwaiti man in possession of two unlicensed firearms at a checkpoint in Ahmadi, opposite Abu Halifa area. He was referred to authorities for further investigations.
Meanwhile, securitymen arrested a 30-year-old Kuwaiti in possession of two hashish-rolled cigarettes at a checkpoint on the Fourth Ring Road. He was referred to authorities.
Worker accused: A 38-year-old Kuwaiti owner of an optical shop filed a case at Sharq Police Station, accusing his Arab employee of embezzling KD 680 from the shop. He said he discovered the theft on checking the records. Police took down the details and description of the suspect and will summon him for investigation.
Asian beaten up: An Asian fractured his right hand and suffered a deep cut on his head during a fight with four others in Kabad area. Acting on information, paramedics rushed to the scene and referred the man to Farwaniya Hospital. Police registered a case and are looking for the other four Asians.
