KUWAIT CITY, April 30: A 36-year old Asian maid tried to commit suicide by drinking insecticide inside the sponsor’s home in Saad Al-Abdullah area.
Acting on distress call the sponsor had placed to the Operations Room, a rescue team rushed to the scene and referred the woman to the Jahra Hospital. A case has been registered against her.

Kidnap bid foiled: A Kuwaiti citizen in his late 40s filed a case against three Kuwaitis he knows, and reported they had tried to kidnap his 17-year old son. The citizens are said to have forced the son into a car but he managed to escape. A case was registered for investigation.

‘Will not come home’: An Arab expatriate filed a case in Hawalli police station to report his 19-year old son who left home about 4 days ago and refused to come back.
The man said they had a minor disagreement and the son left the home. Meanwhile, he tried in vain to contact the son through his friends. A case was registered.

Trio in calls trade: Three Asians in their 30s and 40s absconding from their sponsors have been arrested for trading in illegal international in Jleeb Shuyoukh area, following a tip-off securitymen received about their activities.
Sources said one of the suspects tried to escape through the window but the officers managed to grab hold of him.
In the course of the raid, several gadgets used in the trade were confiscated by securitymen. The suspects, with the items, have since been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Bedoun hurt in fight: A Bedoun man sustained injuries in different places of the body after fighting with three GCC nationals inside a garage in Sulaibiya Industrial area. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene after the Operations Room received report about the episode and the injured person was referred to Farwaniya Hospital while the other members of the feuding party were arrested.

Cash stolen from home: A 38-year old citizen filed a case in Abdullah Mubarak police station and reported that thieves raided his home and stole KD 600 cash while he was on vacation with his family overseas.
According to the man, he discovered the door had been broken open when they returned from the trip, and he noticed the money was missing after checking the items inside the house.

Man beats up wife: A Kuwaiti woman in her 30s filed a case in Andalous police station against the husband and reported the man had assaulted her. She backed her case with medical report confirming bruises she sustained as a result of beating. A case was registered for investigation.
