I am an Indian doctor working for a ministry and am in the process of resigning to go back home. At the end of my resignation procedures the ministry will cancel my residence and get a temporary residence for one or two months so that I can wind up everything in Kuwait. I have a valid driving licence until 2016. Is it legal to drive while I am on a temporary residence?

Answer: Yes, you can. Initially only the work permit is cancelled and as long as you have residence in the country your licence is OK. Only once you leave the country you can’t use the licence when you return unless you get it renewed.
