New way to tease girls Drug peddlers held
KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Police have arrested an unidentified youth for disturbing female visitors at a fast food restaurant. It has been reported the youth was deliberately blocking the way of female motorists, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the youth was carrying a monkey and he had placed his telephone number on the glass of his car.
Police have reportedly impounded the man’s car.
Drug peddlers held: A GCC national with his Bedoun partner was arrested in Hawalli for peddling in illicit drugs. Apparently, the suspect was commonly known for his activities and supplied drugs to addicts.
Acting on the directives of Director General of Drug Control General Department, Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa, a team of detectives was formed to arrest the suspect. He was lured by an undercover agent to sell 6 fingers of hashish for KD 300 and arrested as he delivered the drug.
Meanwhile, the suspect guided securitymen to retrieve additional 1.5 kilogram of hashish inside his home. He went on to mention the Bedoun as his accomplice. However, the Bedoun is said to have resisted arrest, causing injury to a policeman. The partners in crime have since been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Crackdown nets criminals: The Jahra police during a crackdown on residence law violators and reckless motorists are said to have impounded 12 vehicles and referred the men behind the wheel to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Qabas daily.
During the campaign police also closed all entries and exits to the Amghara Scrapyard and arrested four Asians for possessing stolen copper cables. The cables are believed to be stolen from government construction sites.
During the campaign police are also said to have arrested 18 youths for eve-teasing.
Fake cops steal bike: Police are looking for four persons for impersonating police and stealing the motorbike of a Kuwaiti youth, reports Al-Rai daily.
It has been reported the youth was riding the bike in Adailiya and the suspects riding in three cars stopped the youth and said they were police.
They beat him for no reason and one of them snatched the motorbike and they drove off. The youth has been admitted to the Amiri Hospital.
Drunkards beat cops: When police acting on information rushed to a residential building in Salmiya, three youths who were allegedly drunk and fighting among themselves instead attacked the cops, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. However, the cops overpowered the youths, handcuffed them and took them to a police station. The daily did not give more details.
