Female students in knife-fight Police deny girl stabbed to death by trio

KUWAIT CITY, April 26: Security forces denied news disseminating via BlackBerry and other electronic media outlets that a female studying at the Institute of Commercial Studies affiliated to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) had died after a clash with three other female students. Police also refuted the students had fought with knives and other sharp weapons.
According to sources, the fight broke out between a group of four students and two of them sustained various degrees of injuries. However, Dean of the institute refused securitymen entry to the premises after the Operations Room had been notified of the episode and a rescue team was deployed to the location.
He is said to have allowed paramedics to carry the injured students to Mubarak Hospital for treatment and they were discharged.
Sources disclosed a committee has been formed to look into the case and punish those participating in the fight.
They are of the view that the culprits might be expelled from the institute.

Laptops stolen: Thieves raided a shop selling computers and related accessories and stole 6 laptops.
The 40-year-old Kuwaiti owner of the shop filed a case in Hawalli police station immediately after a Pakistani worker at the shop notified him of the theft.
Criminal Evidences Men rushed to the shop and lifted fingerprints to trail the thieves. A case has since been registered for investigation.
