Asian prostitutes, clients nabbed in Jleeb raid Pakistani held in drug trafficking
KUWAIT CITY, April 24: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant police raided an apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and arrested three Asian prostitutes and three men who had gone to seek pleasure, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
All those arrested have been referred to the authorities. Police records show the prostitutes are housemaids and their sponsors had allegedly filed missing persons report at police stations.
Drugs seized: Anti-narcotics officers have arrested a Pakistani man for trading in drugs with around 8,000 narcotic pills in his possession.
After receiving information about a Pakistani trafficking in drugs in different parts of the country, Director General of the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa formed a team of anti-narcotics officers and instructed them to put the suspect under surveillance. Once the information was verified, the team sent an under cover agent to purchase 50 narcotic pills worth KD 100 from the suspect, who agreed to meet the agent in Abu Halifa. The suspect was arrested upon completion of the bogus transaction.
The team also raided the house of the suspect, leading to the discovery of about 8,000 narcotic pills. The Pakistani was referred to the concerned security department for further interrogation and other necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested an Asian man in Abu Al-Hasania for the possession of 60 bottles of local alcohol.
While patrolling the area, the officers noticed the suspicious behavior of an Asian man when he reached the checkpoint. This prompted the officers to check his car thoroughly until they found 60 bottles of local alcohol.
A case was registered and the Asian was referred to the relevant security department for prosecution.
Drunkards held: Police have arrested three people for drinking alcohol and attacking policemen on duty, reports Al-Rai daily.
This happened when some residents of a building complained about ‘some men’ drinking alcohol in one of the apartments in the building.
When police rushed to the building they found three men about to leave the building. They were in their car and an officer asked the man behind the wheel for his ID, he got the smell of alcohol.
Two other men - one in the passenger seat and the other on the back seat - also looked intoxicated. When police asked the men to step out of their vehicle, they attacked the securitymen.
A backup force was called and the men were taken into custody.
Police attacked: Police have arrested an unidentified youth and are looking for seven others for assaulting traffic police. One of the youth allegedly hit a policeman with the butt of a gun and escaped, reports Al-Shahed daily.
This happened when a policeman on routine duty stopped a youth for making stunts with his ATV on the Arabian Gulf Street and endangering the lives of other road users.
It has been reported soon seven others riding ATVs joined the arrested youth and attacked the policemen.
