Baby born in Kuwait can exit within 60 days of its birth without any fees

I have a baby, born in Kuwait in March 2011. I have obtained the necessary birth certificate and a separate passport in his name. Can he travel to India now without us stamping the residence and, if so, any documents required and where, whom to contact for that? Also, if he leaves as above, will there be any problem for him to return to Kuwait on a visit in the future?

Name withheld

Answer:
Yes, the baby can be taken out of the country within 60 days of its birth otherwise you could run into legal problems if the residence is not stamped within the same time. You have to approach the Immigration Dept in your area to get the required permission. You will only need your and your wife’s Civil ID copies, copy of the baby’s passport and the birth certificate. Secondly you won’t face any problem in getting a visit visa for the baby.

No change in ruleSrivi | 4/25/2011 11:32:12 AM There is no such change in visa rules. It is only a mis-understanding of arabic words. It is only a rumour that birth certificate of visitor or sponsor is required. But, nothing to worry. just you apply for visa, as normal procedure, you will get visa. No need birth certificate of visitor attested by embassy.
