Police hunt man for selling forged passports to bedoun Stabbings, fights spread in malls

KUWAIT CITY, April 23: A Kuwaiti sustained stab wounds after engaging in a fight with some unidentified men along the Restaurants Street in Salmiya recently.
The Operations Room dispatched a team of securitymen and medical emergency personnel to the location after receiving information on the fight. The rescuers took the injured to a nearby hospital, while the other men were referred to the concerned security department for questioning.
Meanwhile, two young men were injured when a fight broke out between 10 youths inside a shopping mall in Salmiya.
It has been reported the youths had a heated argument over a girl.  They used sharp objects in attacking each other, resulting in injuries to two of them. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, while the others were referred to the authorities for interrogation.

Police hunt man for selling forged passports to bedoun: Police are looking for an unidentified GCC man for selling forged passports to Bedouns and wanted people, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said a Bedoun was seized at the Kuwait International Airport for using a forged passport shortly before his departure to a GCC state. The Bedoun, during investigations, admitted to purchasing the passport from a GCC national for KD 2,200.
The Bedoun said he was in a diwaniya when he first heard about the GCC man selling passports at reasonable prices and contacted him.
A police source said a large number of Bedouns use these passports for traveling.

Drug traffickers held:
Police arrested two men, a Kuwaiti and a Jordanian, for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
The traffickers were arrested during a buy-bust operation in front of a fast food restaurant in Sabahiya while selling 5 grams of heroin to a police agent with marked police money. Police also recovered another 7 grams of heroin from their possession.
Meanwhile, Jahra police arrested two Bedouns in possession of 23 narcotic pills and a piece of hashish, and referred them to authorities.

Nephew robs Syrian: A Syrian man filed a complaint, accusing his nephew of stealing jewelry worth KD 7,000 and 10,000 Lira from his car, reports Al-Anba daily.
The complainant said he was preparing to travel by car with his niece and put the luggage in his vehicle. He then went back to the house to get some more items and asked the nephew to wait near the car. But when be returned, he said, the nephew was not there and both the money and the jewelry too went missing.

‘Frozen chicken’ scare: Security authorities at the Kuwait International Airport were put on alert after receiving information about a bag with blood stains dumped in the parking lot of the airport. It was assumed that a murder had taken place and a corpse was inside the bag, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police later found frozen chicken inside the bag which is believed to have been brought by an Egyptian passenger. He reportedly dumped the chicken after discovering that it thawed and was not fit for consumption.

200 bottles seize
d: Police arrested an Asian bootlegger and seized 200 bottles filled with local brew from his possession, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Asian was traveling in a car in Hawalli and appeared nervous when police asked him to stop.

Kuwait or Saudi?: Police arrested a 32-year-old Saudi national for claiming to be a Kuwaiti, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police patrol on routine duty on the Arabian Gulf Street stopped the man and asked him to show his driving license. He reportedly presented a Kuwaiti license and when police checked records, they discovered that he is a Saudi and holds a Saudi driving license too.
