Let us clean Twitter from insults, cynicism Never underestimate opinion of others

TWITTER has gained enormous popularity and has become one of the most effective communication tools in the world since its creator, Jack Dorsi, launched the website on June 13, 2006. It has been used as one of the non-traditional methods for toppling dictatorial regimes, which have remained in power for many decades. If the corrupt regimes had only known Dorsi’s plan, they would have put him over fire to melt, similar to what they have done to those who opposed them.

This site has made the world smaller and you will find all the trends here. However, there is a strange phenomenon among some Twitters who belong to certain parties. Whenever anybody expresses an opinion, they insult and mock him, totally ignoring his feelings. Islam teaches Muslims to be ethical.

According to Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), a Muslim will not insult and curse anybody or speak trivially. A true Muslim does not use his hand and tongue to harm others. Even God Almighty called on the people to focus on good deeds, adhere to their values and argue with others in a calm manner. A verse in the Holy Quran categorized people into three - the first includes the simple and naïve, second the clever and insightful, and last the violent and argumentative.

Twitter should be a platform for expressing views in a peaceful manner. You should keep in mind that if you present your ideas to others, you somehow give them a glimpse of your mentality and background.
Let us start a ‘purification’ campaign, away from cursing and insults whenever our opinions differ from others. We should not underestimate their opinions. We must give constructive criticisms and we should not allow anyone from interfering in the personal lives of others.
