Spaghetti Bolognese

 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound ground beef;
  • 26 ounces pasta sauce;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • 1 teaspoon sugar ;
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil;
  • 2 cup water;
  • 1/2 pound pasta broken into thirds;
  • freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Method:  In a large pan, sauté the beef for 3 or 4 minutes, then add the sauce and cook, stirring, for a minute or two, then add salt, sugar, olive oil, water and pasta. As it comes to a boil, turn the heat down to low, cover the pot, and simmer gently for 10 or so minutes, until the pasta is tender. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
