Some ‘blacklisted’ Bahrainis sent back to Manama About 4,000 enter Kuwait
KUWAIT CITY, April 17: The Kuwait International Airport authorities have reportedly prevented some Bahrainis from entering the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The decision was taken upon instructions from the government in Bahrain. According to the authorities in Bahrain they are blacklisted for taking part in protests.
The daily added the men were ‘deported’ back to Manama aboard the same flight.
The daily added over the past few days about 4,000 Bahrainis have entered Kuwait. They came by flight from Bahrain and others via Saudi Arabia.
The daily went on to say some of them are staying with their families, others hosted by mosques and yet others by charity organizations and well-to-do Kuwaitis.
Meat destroyed: Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipality Affairs Dr Fadhel Safar recently supervised the ‘destruction’ of a consignment of 700 kilos of meat which was reportedly imported from an unidentified Asian country, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The meat was found to be unfit for human consumption and reportedly imported through the Kuwait International Airport.
Kuwaitis cheated: Police have arrested a Jordanian man for swindling two Kuwaitis and ‘stealing’ their ‘antique’ cars, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The cheat convinced the two men that he could fetch good price for their vehicles and disappeared after taking possession of the cars.
Intensive police investigations led to the arrest of the man in Salmiya. Police records show this is not the first time he is involved in such a scam. He is a known conman.
