Kuwaiti man savages Indian woman Citations top 6,000 - 434 cars seized

KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for savagely assaulting an Indian woman and causing her several injuries and a fracture in her hand, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman submitted a medical report stating she suffered injuries and bruises on her head, feet, legs and eye besides a fracture in the right hand.
Without going into details, the daily said a case was registered at Fintas Police Station.

Citations top 6,000: The General Traffic Department (GTD) conducted surprise traffic campaigns across the various governorates and issued 6,423 traffic citations, and impounded 434 vehicles. This follows directives by the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs in Ministry of Interior Major General Mahmoud Al-Dousari.
Sources said 2,154 citations were issued and 120 vehicles were impounded in the Capital, whereas officers in Farwaniya governorate issued 854 citations and locked away 40 vehicles. In Hawalli, 1,503 penalties were issued and 39 cars were impounded by traffic men, while 12 cars were towed to the ministry garages and 460 traffic violations recorded in the Ahmadi area. The Operations Room registered 898 violations, issued 40 citations and impounded 209 vehicles at the airport.
Meanwhile, 182 violations were issued and 9 vehicles confiscated in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area, whereas 332 violations were recorded in the Jahra governorate, with 5 vehicles towed to the ministry garages.
The General Traffic Department urges motorists to abide by traffic laws to steer clear of violations and endangering the lives of other road users.
