Pakistani Caught at airport with stolen goods

KUWAIT CITY, April 7: An unidentified Pakistani man who attempted to leave the country with stolen goods — gifts and cell phones — which he purchased with money stolen from his sponsor’s shop in Jahra has been arrested, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the suspect works at the shop and he stole the money and put off his cell phone.
After the sponsor discovered the theft, he immediately filed a complaint with the Al-Naeem Police Station. The concerned authorities were informed and a travel ban was slapped against him.
The suspect was arrested at 12:00 midnight as he was about to board a flight to his home country. Police investigations are underway.

Reports denied: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khaled Al-Jarallah has denied reports published by the Egyptian and some GCC newspapers that an unidentified Egyptian man who returned from Kuwait was arrested at the Cairo International Airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle into Egypt weapons and bugging devices, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily quoting sources.
The daily added two days ago some Egyptian and Gulf newspapers had published details about the incident.
They said the arrested person is a former employee of Egypt’s Interior Ministry and he was attempting to smuggle the contraband into Egypt.
The newspapers detailed the seized items by the Egyptian customs authorities as 44 electric detonators, four watch cameras, 20 modern surveillance cameras, 18 bugging devices, three GBS and a control unit.
