Screams foil man’s bid to kidnap ex-girlfriend
KUWAIT CITY, April 6: Police are looking for a Kuwaiti man for attempting to kidnap his former girlfriend, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the victim, also Kuwaiti, in her complaint filed with the Taima Police Station accused her former lover of damaging her car and attempting to kidnap her.
She added passersby intervened when she screamed for help and the suspect drove off.

Good business: Police have arrested a Syrian man for stealing cars from road side damaged in road accidents and selling them in at the Amghara scrap market, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect was arrested after a Kuwaiti man who saw the man lifting a damaged vehicle from the vicinity of his home informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
When police confronted the man he claimed he had been authorized by the Kuwait Municipality to lift the car. However, when police checked the authenticity of the man’s claim, they discovered he was telling lies. The Syrian has been referred to the authorities.
Gang arrested: Police have arrested a three-man gang of Asians for forging medical certificates and selling them to expatriates, reports Al-Qabas daily.
A police source said the concerned authorities acting on information put one of the forgers under surveillance and caught him red-handed while offering to sell a ‘Physically Fit’ certificate to a police agent.
The forger also provided police information about his accomplices. Police then raided the place and seized a number of forged certificates from their apartment.
